Supt Sansarona leads Teachers’ Day celebration

Schools Division Superintendent Pharida L. Sansarona led Schools Division of Lanao del Sur I-B in celebrating the 2013 National Teachers’ Month and World Teacher Day at the New Provincial Capitol Complex here last September 30.

With the theme “My Teacher, My Hero,” the celebration was graced by former Assemblywoman Samera Gutoc-Tomawis as guest speaker.

Tomawis said she gave high respect to the teachers. She said they are the instrument to erase one’s ignorance.

Teachers’ Day is celebrated to mark the birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrisnam to honor him in placing education to a highest esteem with his firm belief that teachers are the most respected lots in the society and therefore deserve the honor.

Radhakrishnan is the first vice president of India and the second president of the second populous nation in the world.

Sansarona said that “there will be no engineers, doctors, accountants, and the likes without teachers.”

She said teachers should be recognized because of their important role in society.

Sansarona gave inspiration, respect and honor to all teachers especially to those who give their heart, dedication and commitment in THE TREACHING PROFESSION.

Teachers’ Day celebrations are undertaken in recognition of the teachers efforts as moulders of rulers and leaders and good citizens for a better society.

It signifies respect and gratitude to the architect of our life for next to parents is the teacher or guro in shaping our future. RANAO STAR
